Speakers - Legacy Transplant

bennett-william  Dr. Bennett is Medical Director of Transplantation and Director of Renal Research. He is an expert in kidney transplantation. Currently Editor-in-Chief Emeritus of the Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology. He has more than 460 peer-reviewed publications to his credit and has contributed to 170 books and chapters. He serves on numerous advisory boards. Dr. Bennett is a Master of the American College of Physicians, and a Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology and past president. Dr. Bennett has been honored for his contributions to the medical profession.
William Bennett, M.D.

  Dr. Batiuk joined Legacy Health in 2004. He received his medical degree from the University of Alberta in 1985. Next, he completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, followed by a Nephrology Fellowship in 1988-1990. Dr. Batiuk's Transplant Medicine Fellowship was completed at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland. He then returned to the University of Alberta where he received his PhD in 1996. Prior to joining Legacy Transplant, he was an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI) School of Medicine. 
Thomas Batiuk, M.D., PhD

  Thuy X. Le, MD, is a Transplant Nephrologist at Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital. Dr. Le received her medical degree in 2011 from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she also completed her Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine. Dr. Le went on to complete her Nephrology and Transplant Nephrology Fellowships at the University of California, San Francisco before joining Legacy Transplant Services in 2017. Dr. Le is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. She is a member of the American Society of Nephrology and American Society of Transplantation.
