Mindfulness and Nature: Strategies to Prevent Burnout, Build Resilience, and Promote Good Health
 
The Medical Staff Wellness Committee and the Good Health Council are co-sponsoring this CME / CE conference focused on preventing clinician burnout and promoting good health. The conference is open to Legacy medical staff, Legacy nurses, and community physicians, with registration priority given to those affiliated with Legacy. The conference will feature excellent didactic sessions and a variety of interactive breakout sessions.
 
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
After this activity, learners should be able to:
  • Identify 3 signs of clinician stress and burnout.
  • Learn 3 resources within Legacy and the community to combat stress and burnout.
  • Identify three health benefits of mindfulness strategies. 
  • Practice two new mindfulness strategies.
  • List the number of minutes per week of moderate-intensity physical activity to gain significant health benefits.
  • Identify 3 health benefits of contact with nature.
  • Locate and use Legacy hospital gardens and nearby nature.

TARGET AUDIENCE:
Legacy Health Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, and Community Physicians
