YOU ARE NOT ALONE

This support group is open to all as a safe place to discuss the stresses, challenges, and rewards of providing care to, or being a support for a relative or friend with a chronic condition.

We are an open discussion group but may also offer a speaker or specific topic for the day.

Taking care of yourself while you are caregiving will benefit both you and the care receiver. One tool for taking care of yourself is through a support group.

Most caregivers face similar challenges such as managing life outside of being a caregiver, financial pressures, and loneliness.  There can also be rewards - creating special bonds, making a difference in someone’s life, and giving the most valuable gift – the gift of time.

Having a space to speak openly, hearing each other’s stories, feelings, and advice alongside those who can relate and will not judge is important. Support groups can offer that safe place to share and learn.

Not comfortable speaking in groups? Please do not let that stop you from joining. Many people benefit from simply listening to other’s stories and perspectives.

Come join us for our next gathering!
